Jacob Stern: We run a reverse logistics business, where we service Amazon, Walmart, eBay, and private label sellers, with their returns needs. We’re a non-profit, we’re 501c3. The organization was founded to help teens at risk. They created a business where they hire the boys, give the boys jobs, train them, and give them skills. They have mentorship, and eventually, we place them in jobs as well.
Jacob Stern: In the past two and a half years, we’ve just about doubled our revenues. We have many more income streams, and we have diversified. [Descartes] Sellercloud has really been there along the way to help us and support us in that growth.
Jacob Stern: The ecommerce sector is definitely growing, it’s booming. With that, the reverse logistics sector is taken off. And there’s a lot of demand. We use [Descartes] Sellercloud for pretty much everything from adding quantity, creating SKUs, our listing, fulfilling the orders, and the reports.
Fabricio Cabezas: [Descartes] Sellercloud saves us time and effort through everything we do. Things that will usually take an hour or two will probably just take 30 minutes because we’re using Sellercloud.
Jacob Stern: Running a company this size, the volume that we do, things always come up.
Fabricio Cabezas: [Descartes] Sellercloud helps us a lot. It lets us organize all our items. It also gives us stages on what steps we have to do; it tracks everything for us.
Jacob Stern: Everything from live inventory feed to automatically sending over the orders for fulfillment. Everything is processed properly. [Descartes] Sellercloud is really built out, and you are really able to pick different features and change things to your liking.
Fabricio Cabezas: Item specifics and descriptions, pretty much allow us to set the different stages of the item, the quality of the item. We can definitely do that through [Descartes] Sellercloud as well, making it easier to list it online and organize it in our system.
Jacob Stern: [Descartes] Sellercloud for us works really well in a unique way because of the way we’re set up as a reverse logistics company; there are different employees in different departments doing different pieces, from creating the SKU until it’s actually listed. And [Descartes] Sellercloud gives us that workflow so we could create the SKU.
Jacob Stern: We could put in the basic dimensions and the basic information, and we could have a separate team to do the listings.
Fabricio Cabezas: Something that I use [Descartes] Sellercloud every single day is item search. We have so many items. It’s amazing how many items you can have in the system. And we can keep track of everything that we need.
Jacob Stern: It’s been very helpful even for inventory reports, for daily reports on sales. These are for P&Ls at the end of the month. Pay out our clients. We give logins to all our clients, all of our logistics clients, so they can see inventory at any time, see sales reports at any time, see their P&Ls at any time, and see the general workflow of where their goods are held.
Jacob Stern: We’re able to customize what we want them to have access to and what we don’t want them to have access to, to make sure they don’t have access to other clients’ stuff. Turning over our inventory, making sure it’s accurate at all times, as well as reports, and giving the clients a good lens to be able to see exactly what’s going on with their items at all times.
Jacob Stern: Has definitely helped us, helped us grow. With all the resources that Descartes has, we’re very excited to see what’s next. And to continue the evolution and the support that [Descartes] Sellercloud brings to us.
