Evan Merkur: My name is Evan Merkur. I am the president of Stratton Home Decor. We are based out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The business was started in 1973 by my father, my brother in law and I now run it. We kind of transformed the business from manufacturing over to importing business. Four years ago, we started looking at e-commerce as a way of selling our products.
Giselle Solano: Our customers go through the retailers and we fulfill the orders for them.
Evan Merkur: We are not selling directly to the consumers. So everything that we do needs to set up third-party billing so that our customer is being charged for the shipping costs and we are not.
Giselle Solano: A lot of what we focus on is metal pieces of metal, our typography.
Evan Merkur: When we started with one etailer, it was fairly easy to control all of the inventory dollars that were moving in and out of the warehouse. As we started to expand the etailer customer base is when we started to run into challenges. We realized we needed to find some platform that could handle all of the challenges that we were having.
Giselle Solano: Sellercloud is our main order center that we use to process the orders and to fulfill them and ship them out to the customer.
Evan Merkur: Sellercloud is helping us across all of the different areas that we are using it so it’s taking less staff to have to do all the processes that we do. It helps cut down on mistakes out on our warehouse so our customers are getting the correct product at the correct time.
Giselle Solano: We have two warehouses that we ship out of. One is in California and the other ones in Florida. The great feature that Sellercloud offers is when you upload or import an order, it allocates which warehouse you want to ship it from. From there it goes into Shipbridge. And in Shipbridge is where the order is shipped from.
Evan Merkur: It takes a lot more time, energy, and staff to be able to manage that process. Sellercloud has built it into their platform. It makes it seamless and very easy to manage.
Giselle Solano: Sellercloud has definitely helped us grow as a company. Get our orders to the next level. It’s helped us move at a faster pace.
Evan Merkur: Beginning of 2016, we were selling to five etailers. Now presently, May of 2018 we’re selling to 60 etailers. Sellercloud has been a big reason why we have been able to grow so quickly because they help us manage the entire process.
Giselle Solano: I really enjoyed working with Sellercloud and I’m really looking forward to the new platform and what more they have to offer.
