“We help over 200 brands with fulfillment, distribution, marketing, optimization and catalog services. Our previous solution didn’t have the data that we needed as consistently as we needed. We needed a solution where we could get good, concise data so that we could report against it.”
John Holby

John Holby: As the CEO of CPG.IO, our partnership with Sellercloud has allowed me to sleep at night knowing my employees have a system that can cover our e-commerce needs, both today and in the future.
John Holby: My name is John Holby. I’m the CEO of CPG.IO. We started in 2012, and at that time, we were in Bensenville, in a 10,000 square foot warehouse. We were taking in products from distributors around the area, and we would put that inventory online, and that built our business.
Sharon Leckron: My name is Sharon Leckron. I am the Senior Vice President of Channel Development. I’m in charge of all of our systems and data at CPG.IO. We work with over 200 brands. Some of those include SC Johnson, Kraft, and Nestlé.
John Holby: CPG.IO is a one-stop shop for e-commerce. We do distribution, we do third party logistics, we do marketing, and we do that well. We help a brand go from their e-commerce dream of what it is today, and we move them into the future of what it can be.
Sharon Leckron: So not only do we partner with some brands as their 3PL fulfillment, but we also have brands that we partner with and have set up in Sellercloud that we do fulfillment, marketing, optimization, services, and catalog. So, we went live with Sellercloud in September 2021. The main reason is we basically outgrew our previous system.
John Holby: At that point, we had moved from Bensenville to this location in Addison, where we went from 10,000ft² to 150,000ft². When we were out in Bensenville, we were roughly 50 employees. Where we’re at now is over 130 to 150 employees currently. Our previous solution didn’t have the data that we needed as consistently as we needed. We needed a solution where we could get good, concise data so that we could report against it.
John Holby: The previous solution that we had not only did not give us the data that we needed, but it was also expensive. Sellercloud is a great solution because as we grow, the cost stays rather static.
Sharon Leckron: It’s a lot easier to use and more user-friendly. We have been able to get data a lot faster and a lot more accurate than our previous system.
John Holby: Sellercloud was a solution we could go to that had already made integrations that we had yet to have, as well as the ability to quickly grow with us in any way that we could see in the near future.
Sharon Leckron: Our main use for Sellercloud is our order management system. With switching from our previous system, Sellercloud allowed us to grow, including almost doubling the number of channels that we used to be on in our previous system, as well as handling the increased amount of order flow, and requirements.
John Holby: We went from doing about 2,000 orders a day to over 20,000 orders a day. We’ve added many more direct connections with our manufacturers, as well as connections using Sellercloud to connect to other omnichannel platforms.
Sharon Leckron: We are actually onboarding several new channels right now as of today, TikTok for multiple different brands. We just recently went live with Target Marketplace, Target Plus, and we are onboarding with Macy’s Marketplace. We are onboarding with The Knot, and we are adding some new Walmart Marketplace accounts.
John Holby: Shopify right now is one of our fastest growing segments of the business, as well as TikTok shopping. Sellercloud has integrated and that has become one of our fastest segments. And we are one of the first to market on that. So, I feel that our partnership with Sellercloud has allowed for all of that integration.
John Holby: At the same time, Sellercloud adds other benefits, such as the ability to hold images, view descriptions, as well as the ability to create listings faster, as well as keep that information stored in one place, which helps our brand as a whole grow on our platform.
Sharon Leckron: We have all of our different sales channels connected to Sellercloud. The orders all flow in, and our warehouse fulfills all the orders out of Sellercloud. We are able to set up multiple different warehouses very easily, by ourselves, without even any of Sellercloud’s help. So that has made it a lot easier to kind of segment different 3PL customers and different projects that we have to do multiple warehouses.
Sharon Leckron: One of the things that really impressed me with Skustack is the use of mobile technology. So, using scanners to pick items in the warehouse, as well as the visibility and the time the different workers in the warehouse are taking throughout the process of receiving, picking, and slotting, that we didn’t have before.
John Holby: Our employees in the warehouse have become more efficient. It does not matter what channel they’re being sold on at the time of scanning; it applies to the order, applies the proper rate shopping for that channel, and applies the shipping label and packing list for the specific channel, and that’s really sped things up to go down the line.
John Holby: There’s warehouse management; there are plugins that can quickly be added to your account so that you can do any integration that you need as well as run a business.
Sharon Leckron: One of the main things I like about Sellercloud is it has an open API. That means we’re able to connect with our reporting partner that we use, Domo, and connect with our shipping software and other systems a lot easier than our previous platform.
John Holby: Another advantage of working with Sellercloud is the customization. We’ve put in many requests to get custom work done. It’s always done timely and we get a quote timely as well. One big advantage is that I can scale my business in any way that I need, knowing that they’ll do the customized work to make it work for me.
Sharon Leckron: We have two repricing softwares connected, one with repricer for Amazon, and Sellercloud help us set up kind of a net cost pricing plugin, which essentially is adding in different fees, such as packaging and labor and calculating that net cost that then gets sent to our repicer to kind of help us stay competitive against different sellers on Amazon. With the Order Rule Engine, we have set up multiple rules. We have also used it to help with a third party shipping and billing, where it’s able to add required information to the different orders that come in for our desktop shipper program. The Order Rule Engine has prevented us from accidentally shipping what are actually fraudulent orders.
John Holby: There are changes to the Amazon landscape as well as the omnichannel landscape. Because of that, we need a team from Sellercloud that’s very responsive, that gets the details and gets it done right the first time.
Sharon Leckron: Support with Sellercloud has been night and day versus the previous system that we worked with. Previously, I would submit a ticket even at urgent status, and it would be multiple days before I’d even get a response. There was no phone number to call if I had an emergency and the system was down. With Sellercloud, the support has been amazing.
Sharon Leckron: We meet regularly with a premium service rep, and there’s a phone number to call if there is an emergency, even after hours.
John Holby: Sellercloud has allowed us to grow in a way that we’re doing 20,000 orders a day, knowing that we can scale this business with the current platform. It’s always getting better. Whether you’re a new seller or a seller like us, Sellercloud has all the tools needed to run an e-commerce business.
Sharon Leckron: I am confident that Sellercloud can help us continue to grow by adding new channels and handling our additional volume orders.
