Zoro Tools Account Integration

Overview

Zoro Tools is an e-commerce company that specializes in selling industrial equipment, supplies, and tools online. They offer a wide range of products, including hand tools, power tools, safety equipment, janitorial supplies, plumbing equipment, and much more.

Sellercloud integrates with Zoro with plugins that transmit EDI documents. The following plugins are currently available:

  • Order Import EDI 850 – Imports order info from Zoro in EDI 850 format.
  • Order Acknowledgement EDI 855 – Sends order acknowledgment to Zoro in EDI 855.
  • Tracking Export EDI 856 Exports tracking information to Zoro in EDI 856 format.
  • Invoice Export EDI 810 – Exports invoices to Zoro in EDI 810.
  • Inventory Export EDI 846 Exports inventory to Zoro in EDI 846 format.
To have a dedicated representative complete the testing for your account and ensure that the setup is configured properly, we recommend opting in for Premium Support.

Prerequisites

We recommend creating a Company where you will configure this integration.

Before you can integrate your Zoro account with Sellercloud:

Custom Company Settings

Create the following Custom Company Settings:

  • ISAControlNumber
  • GSControlNumber
  • STControlNumber
  • ZoroToolsISAID – Set to ZOROTOOLSINC.
  • ZoroToolsISAQualifier – Set to ZZ.
  • ZoroToolsCustomerISAID – Add a unique phone number.
  • ZoroToolsCustomerISAQualifier – Set to ZZ.
  • ZoroTools_InventoryReferenceNumber – A unique counter for each document.
  • ZoroTools_CompanyInternalVendorNumber
  • ZoroTools_WarehouseCode – Optional.
  • ZoroTools_ImportOrdersAsWholesale – Optional, set to True to import orders as Wholesale and leave them without payment.
  • UseCustomerShippingPreferenceForZoroTools – Optional, if set to True, will read the order user’s shipping preferences and use them for mapping if they are set.
  • ZoroTools_UseProductionMode – Optional, needs to be set for the 997 export after adding the note FTP to the Order Import task.
ISAControlNumber, GSControlNumber, and STControlNumber can all start at 1. The tracking and inventory exports will increment this number accordingly as jobs are processed.

Sellercloud Support

Next, contact Sellercloud Support to request:

  1. To install the Zoro Plugins on your server.
  2. The Custom Product and Order Columns below:

Product Custom Columns

  • ZoroTools_Enabled – Set to True to enable the product on Zoro.
  • ZoroTools_SKU
  • ZoroToolsSafetyQty – Sets a Safety Quantity on the product level.

Order Custom Columns

  • ZT_InternalVendorNumber
  • ZT_AssociatedPO
  • ZT_CustomerOrderNumber
  • ZT_CancelReason

Order Import

This plugin imports order data from Zoro to Sellercloud in EDI 850 format.

The scheduled task below must have a Note: FTP to upload 997s to the folder defined in the company setting ZoroTools_997RemoteFolder. An example value of the option could be a folder path such as ‘/incoming/intchg/.’ You also need the ZoroTools_UseProductionMode Custom Company Setting.

Automate Order Import

To create a Scheduled Task that regularly imports orders from Zoro to Sellercloud:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Scheduled Tasks > Manage Scheduled Tasks.
  2. Click the green + icon: Create New Scheduled Task.
  3. Complete as follows:
    1. Click Task Type and select Import Orders.
    2. Set the Task Name to Zoro Order Import.
    3. Select the Company.
    4. Select the Start Time.
    5. Click CREATE.
  4. The following message appears at the bottom of your screen: “Scheduled task created successfully. Click Here to configure the task details.” – click the link.
  5. Click the Edit button on the top right.
  6. In the Details section:
    1. Click the Create Orders For Company menu and select the company you designated for this integration.
    2. Click the Plugin menu and select Zoro Tools EDI850 Order Import.
  7. In the Import Options section, set Import From to None.
  8. In the Frequency section, specify the task frequency. For optimal performance, select a range between thirty minutes and one hour.
  9. In the General section: 
    1. Click the Enable button.
    2. Optionally, add a Note: FTP to upload EDI 997s to the folder defined in the custom company setting ZoroTools_997RemoteFolder. An example value of the option could be a folder path such as ‘/incoming/intchg/.’ You also need the ZoroTools_UseProductionMode Custom Company Setting.
  10. Click Save on the top right.


Order Acknowledgement

This plugin sends order acknowledgment to Zoro following the 855 EDI format.

Before you move on, create a Saved Search for orders filtered by:

  • Company – Choose the Zoro company
  • Shipping Status – Unshipped
  • Order Status – InProcess Or Completed
  • Exported – Not Exported
  • Invoice Uploaded – No
  • Order Ack (Accept) – No
  • Order Ack (Release): No

Automate Order Acknowledgement

To create a Scheduled Task that regularly sends order acknowledgment to Zoro:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Scheduled Tasks > Manage Scheduled Tasks.
  2. Click the green + icon: Create New Scheduled Task.
  3. Complete as follows:
    1. Click Task Type and select Export Orders.
    2. Set the Task Name.
    3. Select the Company.
    4. Select the Start Time.
    5. Click CREATE.
  4. The following message appears at the bottom of your screen: “Scheduled task created successfully. Click Here to configure the task details.” – click the link.
  5. Click the Edit button on the top right.
  6. In the Details section:
    1. Click the User ID menu and select your ID.
    2. Click the Saved Search menu and select the saved search you created earlier.
    3. Click the Export Via menu and select Zoro Tools Order Ack Export EDI 855.
    4. Check This is Order Ack (Accept).
  7. In the Export Options section, set Export To to None.
  8. In the Frequency section, specify the task frequency. For optimal performance, select a range between thirty minutes and one hour.
  9. In the General section, click the Enable toggle button.
  10. Click Save on the top right.


Tracking Export

This plugin exports tracking information following the 856 EDI format.

Before you move on, create a Saved Search for orders filtered by:

  • Company – Choose the Zoro company
  • Order Status – InProcess Or Completed
  • Shipping Status – FullyShipped
  • Tracking Uploaded – Not Uploaded

Automate Tracking Export

To create a Scheduled Task that regularly exports order tracking from Sellercloud to Zoro:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Scheduled Tasks > Manage Scheduled Tasks.
  2. Click the green + icon: Create New Scheduled Task.
  3. Complete as follows:
    1. Click Task Type and select Export Orders.
    2. Set the Task Name.
    3. Select the Company.
    4. Select the Start Time.
    5. Click CREATE.
  4. The following message appears at the bottom of your screen: “Scheduled task created successfully. Click Here to configure the task details.” – click the link.
  5. Click the Edit button on the top right.
  6. In the Details section:
    1. Click the User ID menu and select your ID.
    2. Click the Saved Search menu and select the saved search you created earlier.
    3. Click the Export Via menu and select Zoro Tools EDI 856 Order Export.
    4. Check Mark Orders Exported.
    5. Check This Is Tracking Export.
  7. In the Export Options section, set Export To to None.
  8. In the Frequency section, specify the task frequency. For optimal performance, select a range between thirty minutes and one hour.
  9. In the General section, click the Enable toggle button.
  10. Click Save on the top right.


Invoice Export 

This plugin Exports an EDI 810 file with corresponding invoice information. 

Before you move on, create a Saved Search for orders filtered by:

  • Company – Choose the Zoro company
  • Order Status – InProcess Or Completed
  • Shipping Status – Fully Shipped
  • Invoice Uploaded – No
  • Tracking Uploaded – Yes

Automate Invoice Export

To create a Scheduled Task that regularly exports invoices from Sellercloud to Zoro:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Scheduled Tasks > Manage Scheduled Tasks.
  2. Click the green + icon: Create New Scheduled Task.
  3. Complete as follows:
    1. Click Task Type and select Export Orders.
    2. Set the Task Name.
    3. Select the Company.
    4. Select the Start Time.
    5. Click CREATE.
  4. The following message appears at the bottom of your screen: “Scheduled task created successfully. Click Here to configure the task details.” – click the link.
  5. Click the Edit button on the top right.
  6. In the Details section:
    1. Click the User ID menu and select your ID.
    2. Click the Saved Search menu and select the saved search you created earlier.
    3. Click the Export Via menu and select Zoro Tools EDI810 Order Invoice Export.
    4. Check This Is Invoice Export.
  7. In the Export Options section, set Export To to None.
  8. In the Frequency section, specify the task frequency. For optimal performance, select a range between thirty minutes and one hour.
  9. In the General section, click the Enable toggle button.
  10. Click Save on the top right.


Inventory Export 

This plugin exports inventory from Sellercloud to Zoro in EDI 846 format.

Make sure to enable your products for Zoro by setting their ZoroTools_Enabled Custom Column for Products to True:

  • For one product at a time: go to the Product Details Page > click Toolbox and select Custom Columns > click Edit, update the ZoroTools_Enabled column, and Save.
  • For multiple products in bulk: follow the steps to Bulk Update Products and use the ZoroTools_Enabled column – set it to True for all products you want to enable.

Before you move on, create a Saved Search for products filtered by:

  • Company – Choose the Zoro company
  • ZoroTools_Enabled – True. This custom column for products must be created by Sellercloud Support for the custom filter to appear.

Automate Inventory Export

To create a Scheduled Task that regularly exports inventory from Sellercloud to Zoro:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Scheduled Tasks > Manage Scheduled Tasks.
  2. Click the green + icon: Create New Scheduled Task.
  3. Complete as follows:
    1. Click Task Type and select Export Products.
    2. Set the Task Name.
    3. Select the Company.
    4. Select the Start Time.
    5. Click CREATE.
  4. The following message appears at the bottom of your screen: “Scheduled task created successfully. Click Here to configure the task details.” – click the link.
  5. Click the Edit button on the top right.
  6. In the Details section:
    1. Click the User ID menu and select your ID.
    2. Click the Saved Search menu and select the saved search you created earlier.
    3. Click the Export Via menu and select ZoroTools EDI846 Product Export.
  7. In the Export Options section, set Export To to None.
  8. In the Frequency section, specify the task frequency. For optimal performance, select a range between thirty minutes and one hour.
  9. In the General section, click the Enable toggle button.
  10. Click Save on the top right.
