UPS Web Services Account Integration

Overview

UPS Web Services are API endpoints that allow you to add UPS shipping, tracking, and rate information to your own websites and apps. This makes shipping processes easier and faster by allowing users access to real-time shipping information. This article will show you how to integrate UPS Web Services with Sellercloud’s Shipbridge application.

ConnectShip, on the other hand, is a shipping management platform offered by UPS. It provides tools for label creation, package tracking, rate shopping, and integrations with multiple shipping carriers. See ConnectShip Account Integration for more information.

Sign Up for a UPS Account

To sign up for a UPS Account from Shipbridge:

1. Go to Menu > Options > Carriers > UPS.
2. Select Use UPS Web Services.
3. Click Sign Up for a UPS Account.
   
4. The dialog box will prompt you to read and agree to the Terms and Conditions.
5. Fill in your company details and click Register.
6. You can also associate an existing UPS Account with this profile by filling in your existing account information.

Add a UPS Shipper Account

To add a UPS Shipper Account:

1. Go to Menu > Options > Carriers > UPS.
2. Select Use UPS Web Services.
3. Enter your Username and Password and click Add Shipper Account.
   
4. Fill in your information under Existing Shipper Account and click Add Account.

Request a UPS Access Key

To request a UPS Access Key:

1. Go to Menu > Options > Carriers > UPS.
2. Select Use UPS Web Services.
3. Enter your Username, Password, and Shipper Number.
4. Click Request Access License.
   
5. The dialog box will prompt you to sign the Terms and Conditions.
6. Fill in your information and click Register.

Obtain Approval to Ship via UPS SurePost 

To obtain approval to ship via UPS SurePost:

1. Obtain UPS credentials as shown above. 
2. Uncheck Use Production Server.
   
3. Click the Generate production access request files button.
   
4. Save the files and email them to the address provided by UPS on the production page. 
5. When UPS receive those files, they will provide approval for SurePost shipping. 
6. Check the Use Production Server box.

Manage UPS Accessories

Follow these steps to manage your UPS accessories:

1. Right-click an order in the Shipbridge grid. 
2. Click Edit Order.
3. Select the Order Details tab.
4. Select UPS as the Shipping Service.
5. Click the UPS accessories button. 
6. Configure preferred services and click Save.
