Inventory Terms Explained


Overview

Sellercloud allows you to track inventory and re-calculate its quantity upon any inventory movement. The data on inventory changes is represented by specific inventory terms which are all stored on the relevant product page.


Inventory Terms on the Product Home Page

  1. Access Inventory > Manage Inventory.
  2. Select the product for the inventory terms you want to review.
  3. Refer to the Inventory panel that is on the product’s home page.Inventory Terms at Product home page

    INVENTORY TERMDEFINITION
    Available Qty
    (Aggregate Qty)
    Reflects how many items of the selected product are available for sale. It includes neither reserved quantities nor those which are marked as Non-Sellable.
    Physical InventoryReflects total inventory of a product that is available across warehouses. This can also include the items which are ordered but not shipped yet.
    ReservedReflects inventory of a product that has been occupied by created Orders or manually reserved for channels.

Inventory Terms from Inventory Panel

  1. Access Inventory > Manage Inventory.
  2. Select the product for the inventory terms you want to review.
  3. Click Toolbox and select Inventory Movement.
  4. Alternatively, to open the Inventory Movement panel, click the three dots on the top-right corner of the Inventory pane (see below).

  5. The STATS panel displays the complete list of inventory terms for the selected product.Inventory Movement Statistics

    INVENTORY TERMDEFINITION
    Last Physical InventoryThe latest value of in-stock inventory quantity that has been set manually.
    Total Inventory ChangeDisplays the total inventory adjustment entered.
    Calculated Physical InventoryThe calculated number of the particular inventory that is currently available across all warehouses.
    ReservedThe inventory which is reserved by open orders or manually reserved for channels.
    Non Sellable QtyThe total number of inventory units available across all unsellable warehouses.
    Calculated Available InventoryThe number of inventory units that are available for sale. This includes neither reserved quantities nor those which are marked as Non-Sellable.
    Aggregate Qty (Sellable)Shows the total of Aggregate Qty and Reserved Qty of the selected product.

Access Settings > Client Settings > General Client Settings > Advanced.

CLIENT SETTINGDEFINITION
Show aggregate inventory on Product Summary pageSelect this option to enable view permission for the Aggregate Qty of inventory.
Show Reserved Qty Column in Manage Inventory GridSelect the option to enable view permission for the Reserved Qty of inventory.
Show Physical Aggregate, Physical Sellable and Non-Sellable Qty in Manage Inventory GridSelect the option to enable view permission for the Physical Aggregate, Physical Sellable, and NonSellable Qty of inventory.
Show All Inventory Movement by DefaultSelect this option to enable view permission for inventory movement records.

Overview

Sellercloud calculates inventory and records quantities in several places using different terms. This topic introduces the common inventory terms that appear in two locations.


Inventory Terms on the Product Home Page

  1. Access Inventory > Manage Inventory.
  2. Select the product for the inventory terms you want to review.
  3. Refer to the Inventory panel that is on the product’s home page.
TERMDESCRIPTION
Aggregate QtyThe quantity that is available for sale (Physical Inventory in Product Warehouse – Reserved Qty  = Aggregate Qty).

Note: While this is the available qty, safety qtys will limit the available qty per channel.

Physical InventorySum total of Aggregate Qty + Reserved Qty.

This is the total qty that you have available in your sellable warehouses.

Physical Inventory (including non-sellable)
Sum of total Physical Inventory + unsellable inventory (ex: inventory in an interim warehouse)

Total Inventory across all warehouses. This appears when the Client Setting Show Physical Qty including non-sellable in product home page is enabled.

ReservedThe quantity that has been reserved from the Physical inventory for open orders. Reserved inventory is categorized as Unpaid orders and Paid but not yet shipped.

Note: These columns appear when the relevant Client Settings are enabled.

TERMDESCRIPTION
Agg Available Qty

The quantity that is available for sale. (Physical Inventory – Reserved Qty = Aggregate Qty).

Ph. Agg. QtyTotal Inventory across all warehouses. (Ph. Sellable Agg. Qty + Non sellable Qy = Ph. Agg. Qty.  Alternatively, Agg Available Qty + Reserved Qty + Non sellable = Ph. Agg. Qty).
Non sellable QtyQty across all unsellable warehouses.
Reserved QtyThe quantity that has been reserved from the Physical inventory for open orders.
Ph. Sellable Agg. QtyThe sum total of Aggregate Qty + Reserved Qty.

For technical reasons, the above calculation is used rather than pulling the qty from the product warehouse.

Total InventoryA column shown above the grid, relates to Inventory Valuation.

The Client Setting Show Total Inventory in Manage Inventory Grid using: controls the mapping of that value to either the Ph. Agg. QtyPh. Sellable AggQty, or Agg Avail Qty with a default setting of Agg Avail Qty.
