PreSell Quantity

Overview

Sellercloud allows you to add PreSell Quantity on purchasing inventory you want to pre-sell and which has not yet been received. This option takes the unreceived inventory that has been ordered on a Purchase Order and adds it to the available inventory count included in inventory feeds.

The Inventory PreSell feature is controlled by the Enable PO Pre-sell Quantity option, which is available under Client Settings > Purchasing (Advanced). Once enabled, the relevant fields will appear in Purchase Order details.

The PreSell QTY is included into the product’s Physical QTY. For example, product A has zero available quantity. It is added to a PO with an ordered quantity of 100. Once the PreSell option is enabled with PreSell quantity indicated, that amount will be counted towards the product’s available inventory.

Add PreSell Quantity on POs

1. Select the appropriate Purchase Order.
2. Click Toolbox, and select Items.
3. In the upper right, click Edit.
4. Select the PreSell checkbox for the items you want to pre-sell.
5. In the PreSell QTY text box, enter the relevant quantities.
6. Save the Purchase Order.
7. Once the PO is received, the PreSell QTY will decrease by the received inventory quantity.
   Once the PO is received or the PreSell option is disabled, the system will switch the PO back to its usual calculation.
