Walmart Marketplace Listings Management

You can create new listings on Walmart Marketplace directly from Sellercloud. Note that a product must be ready for Walmart Marketplace in order to post new listings, and it should be Walmart Marketplace Enabled to ensure accurate inventory updates. Alternatively, you can post products to existing listings via the Setup by Match feature.

Post a Walmart Marketplace Listing

You can create new listings on Walmart Marketplace either individually or in bulk.

  1. Go to Catalog > Manage Catalog > Open a product.
  2. From the Toolbox, go to Channels Walmart Marketplace.
  3. From the Actions menu, select Post to Walmart.
Walmart limits the Product Add and Update Inventory for single items to 10 items per hour.
The image URL cannot have https, only http, or will fail to post. You can adjust this on the Image Hosting Settings page. Note that the image file size cannot exceed 1MB.

In Bulk

  1. Go to the Catalog > Manage Catalog > Select products.
  2. Click on the Action menu, and select Launch on Channel.
  3. In the Channel field, select Walmart Marketplace, and press Launch.
  4. A job will be added to the queue to post the selected products to Walmart Marketplace.

Post Variations on Walmart Marketplace

Follow these steps to list a variation on Walmart Marketplace.

  1. Set up a variation (n-matrix).
  2. Ready and enable the parent and all variations for Walmart Marketplace. This is needed because, unlike eBay, the variation children get posted individually and are only linked by the variation tag.
Note: Likewise, the variation image is posted from the product itself, not from the variation image configuration. Whatever primary image you have for the variation SKU, will be sent to Walmart.
  3. Go to Catalog > Manage Catalog > Open the variation parent.
  4. From the Toolbox, go to Channels > Walmart Properties.
  5. Press Edit and in the Listing Details panel, click on the attributes link.
  6. In the pop-up window, select a Category and Sub Category, and press Next.
  7. A new window will open. Select the dimensions you want to use for the listing variation configuration. Do not enter any value in the selected dimensions.
  8. Press Next.
  9. A new pop-up window will display a Walmart variation configuration that lists all your products in the variation. Enter values in the dimension columns to associate a product with the variation.
  10. Press Finish.
  11. From the Actions menu of the variation parent, select Post to Walmart for the changes to take place.
For variations already posted on a channel, you can add and remove variants to the existing variation in Sellercloud, but most channels will not allow you to update a variation that is already posted. In order to update it, you need to end the listing and post the newly updated variation.

Setup By Match

Setup By Match refers to the process of setting up product listings on Walmart Marketplace using the existing product catalog, rather than creating new listings. In contrast to the posting options described above, this feature allows you to submit products with very limited information, allowing you to simplify posting and skip the rest of the manual data entry. Walmart will then use that to match your product to existing listings of other active sellers.

You can post products using Setup by Match either individually or in bulk. The items must have the following information:

  • Shipping Weight
  • Walmart Price
  • Product Identifier: GTIN, UPC, EAN, or ISBN
  • Product Identifier Value
  • Walmart Marketplace Enabled: required to automatically send inventory updates

  1. Navigate to Catalog > Manage Catalog.
  2. Search for a Product and open it. Navigate to Toolbox > Walmart Marketplace.
  3. On that page, make sure the Product has accurate Weight, Walmart Price, Product Identifier, and that it is Enabled for Walmart Marketplace.
  4. Go to Actions > Post using Setup By Match.

You will see a message at the bottom of the screen that the Feed has been Submitted. This feed is different than the regular Add Product feed.

In Bulk

  1. Navigate to Catalog > Manage Catalog
  2. Search for your items. You can use the filter Walmart Marketplace Statuses: Ready for Setup by Match to see all the products that you can post with the limited information
  3. Select your desired products > Actions Menu > Launch on Walmart Marketplace using Setup by Match.
  4. You will see a Pop-up window with your selected products. The grid shows only the necessary information to list your products via Setup by Match. The last column is Ready to Setup. If you see a green checkmark it means that SKU is ready. If there is a red cross, you can hover over it and see what is missing.
  5. Click Continue. The feed will only include the Products that are Ready to Setup

You can create a Custom Export (Catalog) of the required fields for all items you wish to post using Setup By Match. Simply fill in all the missing fields in the export and re-import the file via the Bulk Update tool. After the job is complete, all the items will be ready to post via Setup By Match.

Update Listings on Walmart Marketplace

You can update Walmart Marketplace listings manually per product or by automating the process.

  1. Go to Catalog > Manage Catalog > Open a product.
  2. From the Toolbox, go to Channels Walmart Marketplace.
  3. From the Actions menu, select Update Price on Walmart.

  2. From the Toolbox, select Channels > Walmart Marketplace > General Settings.
  3. Press Edit.
  4. In the Controls panel, check Enable Inventory Upload and Enable Price Upload.
  5. Press Save.
To send fulfillment latency (lag time) updates to Walmart marketplace periodically, contact Sellercloud Support and request an automation plugin to be installed on your server.

  2. From the Toolbox, go to Channels > Walmart Marketplace page.
  3. From the Actions menu, select Retire on Walmart.
