Amazon Shipping Templates

Overview

Shipping charges for the Amazon customer are configured in Seller Central as an account level setting. However, those prices can be overridden by attaching an Amazon Shipping Template to individual products. The shipping templates can even be used for Amazon’s international sites.

Create Amazon Shipping Templates

1. Go to Settings > Companies > Manage Companies > Open a company > Toolbox > Amazon Settings > Shipping Templates.
2. Name your new template and click Add New Template.
3. On the newly opened page, you have several fields and options:
   1. Option — Allows you to select a shipping option for the template.
      Note: The options on the menu are all of Amazon’s available shipping options including Standard, Expedited, Next (day), and Second (day) shipping with their locales. For example, Exp Cont US Street Addr refers to Expedited shipping – 1-3 business days – when shipping to a street address in the continental United States.
   2. Amount — Sets the shipping price.
   3. Type — Allows you to select a type for the shipping price:
      • Additive — The price value entered into the Amount field will be added to the shipping price that was outlined in the price settings in Seller Central.
      • Exclusive — The price value entered into the Amount field will be the exact shipping price the customer is charged, regardless of what is set in Seller Central.
   4. Shipping Restricted — Restricts the product’s shipping to the locale selected in the Option menu. When enabled, you will not be able to ship this product to any location other than the locale selected.
   5. Add Template Item — Saves the item. You can add multiple items to the template.
   6. Go Back — Returns to the first Shipping Templates page.

Manage Amazon Shipping Templates

1. Go to Settings > Companies > Manage Companies > Open a company > Toolbox > Amazon Settings > Shipping Templates.
   1. To delete a template: Select a template > From the Action menu, select Delete > Press Go.
   2. To clone a template: Select a template > In the Clone Selected to field, type the name of the new Template > Press Go.
   3. To edit a template: Press Edit. A new page will open up where you can add, delete, restrict, and edit items.

Assign Amazon Shipping Templates

You can assign shipping templates to products either individually per product on in bulk via a file upload.

Individually

1. Go to Catalog > Manage Catalog > Open a product > Toolbox > Channels > Amazon Properties.
2. Press Edit.
3. In the Shipping panel, check the Enable Shipping Override box and select a Shipping Template.
   Note: If you check the Enable Shipping Override checkbox, the selected Amazon Shipping Template is the only template taken into account regardless of all other shipping rules and templates applied.
   

Via a File Upload

1. Go to Catalog > Tools > Import Product Info > Bulk Product Update.
2. Generate a template with the column headers AmazonEnableShippingOverride and AmazonShippingTemplate.
3. Populate the template, save it, and upload it back to Sellercloud.
